뷰런테크놀로지, 라이다 하나로 자율주행 면허…"세계 최초"Autonomous driving was successful with only one lidar device.

뷰런테크놀로지의 자율주행 차량은 지난달에 360도 탐지 가능한 라이다 센서를 한 개 탑재하고 경부고속도로를 달렸다.

총 414㎞를 주행했고, 최고 속도는 시속 100㎞였다. 안전을 위해 동승한 운전자는 5시간 동안 운전대를 잡지 않았다.

VUERON's The autonomous vehicle ran the Gyeongbu Expressway last month with a lidar sensor capable of detecting 360 degrees. It traveled a total of 414km, and the maximum speed was 100km per hour. For the sake of safety, the driver accompanying me did not hold the steering wheel for five hours.

아무래도 360도짜리 한개라고 밝힌 것으로 보아 벨로다인 제품 같습니다. 보통 자율주행업체들이 여러가지 센서를 쓰는 것에 비해 이 업체는 라이다 한 가지로만 성공했다는 것에 큰 의의를 두고 있습니다. 스타트업 기업이 성공할 수 있다면 루미나에서 예고한 자율주행 구독서비스도 멀지 않았다고 생각합니다. 

It looks like a Velodyne product as it is said to be a 360 degree one. Compared to the usual self-driving companies using multiple sensors, this company has great significance in that it has succeeded with only one lidar. If a startup company can succeed, I think the autonomous driving subscription service announced by Luminar is not far away.
